ABOUT THE COMPANY
Founded in 2000 by Cem & Elysabeth Muscat, Baltimore Ballet presents world class dancing at affordable prices to dance enthusiasts from the greater Baltimore/Washington region. Audiences can enjoy international stars and up-and-coming, award winning dancers. Baltimore Ballet is a fully professional company with a roster of 20 dancers.  Baltimore Ballet's repertoire includes "The Nutcracker", "Les Sylphides", "Giselle", "Swan Lake", ":Scheherazade", "La Bayadere" (Kingdom of the Shades), "Pictures at an Exhibition" "Carnival of the Animals" and  "A Gershwin Rhapsody" (choreographed by Artistic Director Cem Catbas), and "Salome's Daughters" (choreographed by Nejla Yatkin.). The Company has performed at Goucher College Kraushaar Auditorium, the Morris A. Mechanic Theater, Towson University Stephens Hall, MD Hall for the Performing Arts, and the Baltimore Museum of Art Meyerhoff Auditorium, as well as outreach performances at local retirement communities.
