Founded
in 2001 by Cem & Elysabeth Catbas,
Baltimore Ballet presents world class
dancing at affordable prices to Maryland
audiences. Audiences can enjoy international
stars and up-and-coming, award winning
pre-professionals. Baltimore Ballet's
repertoire includes "The Nutcracker",
"Les Sylphides", "Giselle", "Swan
Lake", "La Bayadere"
(Kingdom of the Shades), "Pictures
at an Exhibition" "Carnival of the
Animals" and a "A Gershwin
Rhapsody" (choreographed
by Artistic Director Cem Catbas). The Company performs at
Goucher College Kraushaar Auditorium,
the Morris A. Mechanic Theater, Towson
University Stephens Hall, MD Hall
for the Performing Arts, and the Baltimore
Museum of Art Meyerhoff Auditorium,
as well as outreach performances at
local retirement communities. |
